It's a scam. I sell stuff on cl quite a bit and you will find these come in quite a bit. Ignore it.

Scam.

If you have to question it, it's best just to avoid it all together.

Just $3500 for it? What is the major condition?

Wow... especially when they write like that. Normal people do not say "do reply" or " do get back to me"

Someone legit called me and wanted to use my car for a music video. 500 bucks and a deposit for what I'm asking. I'm skeptical on that.

With that said, selling a car has turned my email into a spam bank.

"Hello ,
I kindly ask you to confirm again if this ad is yours : http://craigslistposts.ucoz.org/12832212.html
I want to make sure we are talking about the same item. Sincerely"

"Hello, I am with a local company interested in trading in your vehicle for cash or a new vehicle. We help used car owners looking to sell their vehicle. After reviewing your craigslist post, I would like to learn more about your vehicle.

Please proceed to our website and submit the basic information about your car so we can figure out a trade-in value: http://ow.ly/2iZaX"

"Hi, just saw your listing: 1969 Cadillac Sedan Deville - $3500 (Torrance) and was interested. When is a convenient time for me to come look at it?...I need to make sure I can afford the insurance, but I couldn't get this thing to go through on my dial up connection (slowww!). Can you do me a huge favor and go to Auto Quotes and see how much the average quote is for our area? Thanks! "

"Hello,

I hope your job is going well. I wanted to alert you to a great job opportunity in Los angeles. We have had several of our clients take this opportunity and I have heard some great stories.

The newspaper has an article featuring one of our clients, Kelly Richards. It will also give you all the info you need to get started. The article is at http://digg.com/u1W1He and I believe the story will be featured on the homepage until tomorrow.

Best of luck!"

3 identical ones like the one above from different people.

The reason why I'm asking 3500 is because it needs a new suspension. I figure it's gonna cost someone at least a grand for that.

The music video one is also a scam. It's been brought up on the Buick board a couple times.

Do the suspension yourself. You seen the thread where I did minein my fathers back yard. Your reply was "been there, done that".

Besides basic tools, you'll need a ball joint press and a spring compressor. Both can be borrowed from an autoparts store.

Springs for mine were 80.00 for the rears.
280.00 for the front suspension rebuild kit. That came with new bushings, ball joints, tie rods, etc..
Rear suspension consisted of control arm bushings, sway bar links, and a few other small items. Under 100.00 for the rear.

It took us 2 days to do mine. Sun up to sun down each day.

I was thinking that even with the deposit given to me, they'll still find a way to con me. Although if they don't have the pink couldn't I report it as stolen if they tried to con me?

I would like to but I just don't have the time nor the money right now to put into it. It also needs body work and a redone interior, so even with a brand spanking new suspension I still won't get that much.

It's hard for cops to find a stolen car when it's hidden in some warehouse all parted out, or locked in a container going over sea's.

This fucking dude is pushy. He called me 3 times and sent a message. Then he tells me it'll only be 250 to 300 bucks and that instead of needing it for a few hours on Wednesday he wants it Tuesday overnight. He tried giving me excuses as to why he kept bugging me saying his "director" is looking forward to using it.

This is the company he claims he works for http://www.hsiproductions.com/ Of course anybody can lie. He never even told me what the video would be for. How common is this type of shit legitimate?

And, if it is real, what kind of insurance does he offer you? How do you know he isnt going to tear it up or wreck it and then leave you with a broken car? Not worth the risk in my opinion.
